Carla Scaletti is a composer, harpist and computer scientist, basend in Champaign, Illinios. Since 1986 she has been designing and developing KYMA a graphical sound design language. In 1988 she founded with Kurt Hebel the Symbolic Sound Corporation, a company that creates software and hardware for sound production. Scaletti is also developing, inspired  by science fiction, her Mu-Psi Manifesto to provide a theoretical foundation for creative work with music technologies.
