„Kazuko Miyamoto, born 1942 is a Japanese-born visual and performance artist based in New York City, associated with feminist art, minimalism, and postminimalism. Miyamoto’s artistic style combines formalist minimalism with a foregrounding of the artist’s hand to insert a subtle and ironic commentary on the confident masculinity of male-dominated minimalist art. Auch war Kazuko Miyamoto 30 Jahren Assistentin des New Yorker Konzeptkünstlers Sol LeWitt († 2007) .
Im Zuge dieser Assistentinnen-Tätigkeit für Sol LeWitt, kommt Kazuko anlässlich des Forum Design 1980 zum ersten Mal nach Linz.
Ein reger Austausch mit der Künstlerin und Galeristin Kazuko aus New York City und der Linzer Kunstszene entstand.
